Born in Rome, in 1949 the barely thirty Pietro Neri founds the Neri company, dedicated to the production of a drink that will become famous in a short time, thanks to its freshness and its original flavor, the result of a secret recipe that still remains so today, and that is jealously guarded by the heirs.

In the factory of via del Mandrione, In the mind of Pietro Neri, while his father was making ice, the idea of producing a new palatable beverage becomes widespread. But how to do despite the shortage of sugar? The extreme sweetness of the saccharin, used to replace it, made the drinks undrinkable. The future founder of Neri found the perfect solution: a mixture of bitter citrus and other herbs such as cherry, acerola, chamomile, the birch.

Thus was born the Chinotto, which is launched with the name of Chin8 Neri, initially it was distributed in a simple glass bottle, without label, but with the brand of the company in relief. 

Neri was also good at relying on the new means that technological development made available for advertising..

Not only big cars that roamed the Italian cities with a gigantic three-dimensional reproduction of the Chin8 bottles that camped above the roof, but especially the television, arrived in Italy in 1954. Neri occupied the spaces of the famous television broadcast Carosello with the advertising of four products.

In line with the idea and action taken by Peter so many years before, the grandson Simone Neri decided to take up the tradition and dedicate himself to the creation of a renewed product.

Today the ChinottISSIMO is made exactly as it once was: a true infusion of quinotto, but with innovative elements added to the classic recipe. Simon, in fact, under the supervision of his grandfather Pietro, experimented and added to his "famous and centuries-old recipe" 53 medicinal extracts to create ChinottISSIMO, the absolute superlative of drinks.

After a technical analysis and a taste test carried out by ARM - Azienda Romana Mercati, as part of the LazioDeli2 project, ChinottISSIMO has obtained one of the best scores for taste and innovation, guarantee of quality and excellence.

ChinottISSIMO has been selected to join the circuit "Prodotti d’eccellenza del Lazio"and the "Botteghe Storiche di Roma" circuit.

ChinottISSIMO has been chosen by the Lazio Region as a product of excellence of the territory, and was successfully presented at Expo 2015.

We have been chosen by FAO, by the Vatican, and by the main importers of European and North American beverages.
